Hotel Bahía Melaque

PEACE ON EARTH
Air Canada; By Douglas Anthony Cooper

There is nothing remotely chic about Melaque. This is a working-class vacation spot – favoured equally, it seems, by Mexicans and Quebecois. If you're looking for hyper-cheap and mega-cheerful, you could do a lot worse than the Hotel Bahía. The rooms are minimal, but the white and sky-blue courtyard, with its swimming pool and communal kitchen, encourages all sorts of multicultural (“Mexicois”) social interaction.
